Sea Of Rocks

Sea Of Rocks was set across four vertical cliff faces in an absolutely breath taking scenery in the Dolomites. Highlighting slowness, Sea Of Rocks invited for a meditation on the subtle events that transform and re- connect landscapes, blending the anthropocentric with the geological. The work explored the origins of the Dolomites, once deep sea corals, uplifted by continental collisions and still rising. Climate change accelerates weathering, causing floods and rockslides that reshape the landscape. Sea Of Rocks had its premiere during the opening weekend of the 40th edition of Bolzano Danza and a taster was part at the opening of the 9th edition of Biennale Gherdëina- The Parliament of Marmots.
